How do you take a cactus out of the pot I bought it in?

I’ve never really cared for a plant before but I have a flower pot and my cactus is in the pot I bought it in. How do you take the cactus out without hurting it and put it in the pot I have for it?
I didn’t take your warning of the gloves until after my hands started hurting…yikes! They’re so hard to see yet hurts alot!
